The garden wine party that first took over Roxie’s, Chateau Apollo and the Crown and Anchor in 2018 has now turned biannual, with a second 2019 event announced for spring, happening on Sunday, 17 November.

For the approachable price of $20, happy sippers can make their way through the garden, tasting from the 19 small-batch wine producers on show, between the hours of 1pm and 5pm.

The wineries will each showcase their spring releases, with new wines available from Architects of Wine, Bink, Frederick Stevenson, Gentle Folk, Giovanni Armani Giorgio, Golden Child, Fall From Grace, Koerner, Konpira Maru, Ministry of Clouds, Murdoch Hill, Range Life, Smallfry, Somos, Yetti & the Kokonut, and distributor Son of Dot will be hocking the wares of Commune of Buttons, Limus, Scintilla and Travis Tausend.

While tastings between the hours of 1pm and 5pm are free, wine can also be purchased by the glass, by the bottle, or for takeaway at cellar door prices.

Comida will be serving up the wood-oven and chargrill Spanish fare they’re known and loved for all afternoon and long into the evening once the tasting portion of the day is over.

And on the entertainment front (aside from the general chitchat between drinkers and winemakers), Max Savage and the False Idols will perform, and deejays Medhi and Georg LV will each soundtrack the collective tasting session.

Take the opportunity to catch up with where Australia’s considerate winemakers are at for spring ’19, or make a day of it with a bucket of ice, a bottle, and a pre-prepared sick note for Monday morning.

Tickets for Bright Moments Spring 2019 are available now via Eventbrite.
