What’s your favourite place in the city?
My favourite place in the city is the Riverbank. It is peaceful yet vibrant, beautiful yet simple and as much as the river divides the CBD and North Adelaide, it brings people together.
Where would you take Adelaide on a first date?
I would take Adelaide to Lady Burra Brewhouse as they have great food, good selection of drinks and a great atmosphere regardless of the day and time you visit!
What’s your favourite pastime/hobby?
I love exploring the CBD and North Adelaide with my more sensible half, Genevieve. She encourages me to push boundaries and try new things and also helps keep me grounded.

What’s your favourite place in the city?
Favourite place in the city – Victoria Square – vibrant – lovely memories of the past but wonderful new experiences. During the last school holidays a temporary ice-rink was installed and children in wheelchairs (including my son Max) got to experience skating on ice for the first time!
Where would you take Adelaide on a first date?
I’d take Adelaide on a first date to Cafe Outside the Square on Whitmore Square.
What’s your favourite pastime/hobby?
Favourite hobby – driving the ‘speed demon’ (disability modified beach buggy) and outdoor baths in the scrub!

What’s your favourite place in the city?
Wellington Square. The reason I love this square so much because it has literally been our families front yard for the past seven years.
Where would you take Adelaide on a first date?
I would take Adelaide on a pub crawl through North Adelaide to support our institutions which have been around for centuries and hold large historical significance.
What’s your favourite pastime/hobby?
My favourite hobby is being an amateur adventurer such as an ultra-marathon I competed in during 2015 across the Sahara desert raising money for Ronald McDonald House Charities in North Adelaide.

What’s your favourite place in the city?
My fave place in the city is of course the decks and the dance floor at Sugar!
Where would you take Adelaide on a first date?
I would take my date back in time to Rundle street circa 1990 when it was a bohemian hub for artists and musicians. I would show my date what has been tragically lost by the so called gentrification of the east end by big developers. After that we’d jump back in the time machine and dance the night away at sugar to one of the world’s international touring artists!
What’s your favourite pastime/hobby?
Hobbies – Owls, collecting vintage motor scooters, making controversial art, and collecting records and deejaying.

What’s your favourite place in the city?
My favourite place in the city is Adelaide Central Market, not only are my businesses Barossa Fine Foods and Angelakis Bros there, but the sights, sounds and smells are like nothing else!
Where would you take Adelaide on a first date?
I would take Adelaide to Andre’s Cucina, Frome Road.
What’s your favourite pastime/hobby?
My favourite pastime is collecting wine and dreaming up innovative foods for my businesses.

Walking/cycling/floating down the River Torrens.
Where would you take Adelaide on a first date?
Hotel Longtime: we would eat and drink our way through their delicious Asian Fusion menu.
What’s your favourite pastime/hobby?
Projects! My neighbours and I worked together to create a colourful community garden.

What’s your favourite place in the city?
My favourite place in the city is the East End. I spent close to a decade in business there and it has this great village feel and an inspired hospitality offering.
Where would you take Adelaide on a first date?
I would take Adelaide on a gastronomic tour, dining course by course, beginning at the Central Markets. You can blame my Lebanese background but I’m just a sucker for a good date!
What’s your favourite pastime/hobby?
I’m kind of a Bublé, not gonna lie. You can find me winding down at night with my piano and guitar. At which point in time my wife starts drinking.

Central Markets.
Where would you take Adelaide on a first date?
East End Cellars Tasting Room, with the extensive selection of wine the conversation could never run dry! And then there is their toasted sandwiches.
What’s your favourite pastime/hobby?
A professional once said to me “you are not built to run long distance” Since then, I have run hundreds of kilometres using the parklands as my training ground. Through the solace of early morning long runs, many great ideas have been born.

Our Parklands are amazing! I love quiet time escaping urban life, family picnics & festival time here.
Where would you take Adelaide on a first date?
I have many Central Market favourites but Le Souk is the perfect first date choice (if you’ve been there you’ll know why!)
What’s your favourite pastime/hobby?
Reading….to relax, to empathise, to learn, to escape or to avoid work.

What’s your favourite place in the city?
My favourite place in Adelaide is the South Park Lands. Nothing beats a casual walk through the greenery on a nice day.
Where would you take Adelaide on a first date?
Definitely the Central Markets. All the sights and smells and finishing it off with some farm fresh food. Yum.
What’s your favourite pastime/hobby?
Reading a good book. It’s a great way to unwind and I love to lose myself in a well written adventure. Plus it’s good for the mind!

What’s your favourite place in the city?
The Darling Building is a fantastic example of heritage upgrading – I often go to Crack Kitchen across the road for coffee.
Where would you take Adelaide on a first date?
Pasta at Rigoni’s Bistro. My wife took me here in 1990 to tell me she was pregnant with our twin daughters. It was my best date!
What’s your favourite pastime/hobby?
I run the family wine business Hamilton’s Ewell Vineyards from the city. It is a major passion of mine. Glass of Shiraz?

What’s your favourite place in the city?
Princess Elizabeth Playground, family favourite and elected I’ll make sure this sword comes out of the stone….at least once 🙂
Where would you take Adelaide on a first date?
Chinatown but specifically, Thanh Thanh for the Phở and Vietnamese coffee. Om Nom, Nom.
What’s your favourite pastime/hobby?
Grappling (BJJ), it’s like solving a puzzle that moves while also keeping all your toes. In March I nearly lost mine but I still love the city community at Terry Balboa on Gunson St.

My favourite place in the City is my neighbourhood. Melbourne Street is right on my doorstep, we have the greatest coffee spots in Adelaide. The best part is bumping into friends, neighbours and community members while I’m there.
Where would you take Adelaide on a first date?
I would take Adelaide to O’Connell Street. You’re spoilt for choice whatever the mood!
What’s your favourite pastime/hobby?
For a wind down, I really enjoy relaxing with a good book, in particular reading about our local history, not to mention hunting for gems in second hand bookstores!

Lot Fourteen and University of Adelaide’s ThincLab where you can meet the young Entrepreneurs building the businesses of the future to deliver the growth and jobs that Adelaide needs. So many exciting projects and young people with energy, drive, passion and vision.
Where would you take Adelaide on a first date?
An emerging Smart City – Chatanooga in Tennessee USA. Once dubbed the dirtiest city in the US has undergone a massive transformation much of it around the Gig City Internet Infrastructure (Adelaide also is a part of the Gig City network).
The Smart City Division plans for and develops new technology – autonomous vehicles, mobility as a service, and more – that will transform the future of transportation in Chattanooga. The division also manages street lights, traffic signals, and data about the streets to keep people safe and moving efficiently.
What’s your favourite pastime/hobby?
Riding my Road bike into the Hills or along the beaches or my Mountain bike around the city and parklands where I would love to see a Mountain Bike track.

Can’t beat a cocktail at Pink Moon Saloon on Leigh Street!

Where would you take Adelaide on a first date?
An evening stroll through Rundle Mall and along North Terrace. Peaceful, beautiful and exciting! There’s always something to see, whether it be buskers, heritage buildings, festivals or performances from local artists! Adelaide is a festival city and it is something that should be embraced with open arms.
What’s your favourite pastime/hobby?
I love the performing arts, ballet, music and culture.

Where I live on central Halifax Street is hard to beat – with its mix of yoga studio, heritage and residential buildings, architectural and design offices, advertising agencies, legal firms, restaurants, bars, not-for-profits, theatre, church, bike shop and Theosophical bookshop.

Herringbone is serving up sumptuous shared plates for a first date.

I love walking my dog Gil in the Adelaide Park Lands.

306 Ward Street, North Adelaide. So happy to have saved it from demolition … for now.
Where would you take Adelaide on a first date?
A picnic at LeFevre Park with the horses at sunset or sunrise. The calm of nature and the sun’s stunning colours are a magic mix.

I love bringing fun new ideas to life – making SA 100% Renewable Energy powered, all-electric Formula E car racing for Adelaide, bringing home more SA expats, or most recently using an e-bike for campaigning.
