With summer about to kick off, plenty of local venues and arts organisations are looking for staff to see them through the upcoming festival season.

Our city has plenty of jobs up for grabs this month, so if you’re a hospo legend or art aficionado, some of our favourite cafes and festival teams are looking for staff ahead of festival season. Read on to see some of the opportunities on offer.

ADELAIDE FESTIVAL

There’s a variety of roles on offer ahead of the 2024 season, with Adelaide Festival seeking a philanthropy executive, casual production team members and front-of-house supervisors and attendants.

Whether it’s lighting, sound, AV, rigging or construction that’s your specialty, a casual production role might be for you. If you’ve got festival or event experience and a white card, check it out but get in quick with applications closing on Thursday, November 30.

Front-of-house supervisors and attendants are wanted across the 2024 festival season. They’re particularly looking for energetic people with previous front-of-house experience and an appreciation for performing arts. For this role, apply by December 1.

The philanthropy executive role is full-time, involving building relationships with donors and helping the festival achieve its philanthropic targets. Applications for this role close at midnight, December 3.

RENEW ADELAIDE

Renew Adelaide is a not-for-profit behind a lot of our favourite places in the city including LOC bottle bar, Dulcie’s in the arcade and the Gilded Goblin.

They’re looking for a head of property who can drive their property acquisition through a lens of precinct curation to bring new life to vacancies in the CBD.

Do you know your way around pastry? Bloom at Winwood Street, Thebarton is after a casual pastry chef to whip up delicious and consistent pastries in-house.

The ideal candidate must be willing to work mornings and weekends with the role offering 20 hours across a three-to-four-day roster and the option of additional café service hours.

They’re hiring a chef de partie to work alongside co-head chefs Jude Hughes and Calum Horn to create classic bistro-style dishes with a Longplay touch.
