Wage theft is a hot topic at the moment, given the precarious position we’ve all been thrown in, due to the economic fallout of COVID-19.

Workers’ rights have already been an issue of not in contemporary global society, due to secure work being increasingly hard to come by, and gig work much more prevalent – despite being worse for workers’ wellbeing.

CityMag recently spoke with Labor politician Irene Pnevmatikos, who is chairing an ongoing parliamentary investigation into wage theft in South Australia, to see what exactly the committee had found so far. You can read that interview here.
