It all began at Biggies.

Five years ago, the team at Endless Grooves put on DISCO is not a Dirty Word at the short-lived basement bar on Coromandel Place, and, like a seed planted underground and given sufficient liquid nourishment and aural stimulus, the business bloomed into a reliable provider of good times set to music.

Endless Grooves has thrown parties on the Popeye, turned Oddio into Hell for a night, and brought dancing to the Murlawirrapurka Rymill Park island.

To celebrate five years of playing underground music for the masses, they’re spending the whole weekend at Oddio, this Friday and Saturday night.

Catch Jeremy Spellacey, Fantastic Black Plastic and Nantale on Friday night, and Tiana Khasi, Nu Article, Jura Soundsystem, Sam Walker, Danvers, and Cazeaux O.S.L.O. on Saturday night, in a mix of live instrumentation and DJ sets.

Sunny’s is on board to serve up pizzas, and drinks will be available from Delinquente, Frederick Stevenson, Giovanni Armani Giorgio and Bizzarro Aperitivo.

And if you don’t want to leave the happening empty handed, Porch Records will be on site for all your personal vinyl requirements.
