The answer is Teenage Joans.
Who won what at the 2021 South Australian Music Awards?
The South Australian Music Awards were held at the Old Adelaide Gaol on Thursday, 19 November, and young pop-punks Teenage Joans absolutely cleaned up.
The duo formed in 2018 and took out Triple J’s Unearthed High competition in 2020, and this year took home seven SAM Awards – the most ever awarded to a single recipient.
Along with Best Song, Best New Artist, Best Group, Best Release, Most Popular Punk Artist and Best Cover Art, Teenage Joans also took home the inaugural City of Adelaide Exceptional Live Music Performance Award.
CityMag once again sponsored the Best Innovation Award, which this year went to Northern Sound System and WOMADelaide for their NSS Academy collaboration.
There were a tonne of other winners too, so read on for the full rundown of the 2021 South Australian Music Awards results.
