The new Lion Arts Factory we introduced you to last year is in the midst of construction, but before the dust settles, Five Four Entertainment today announced yet more acts and confirmed the venue will open on Thursday, 7 February.

“We have been really moved by the response from bands and agents wanting to book shows into Lion Arts Factory,” says Ross Osmon of Five Four Entertainment.

Lion Arts Factory
OPENING WEEKEND
Thursday Feb 7th – Saturday Feb 9th
9pm – late

“We are focused on delivering a space that all of the gig-going community and bands will feel at home in and want to come back to.”

With consternation over the end of Fowlers Live now subsiding, Five Four is starting to build a picture of what Adelaide can expect from Lion Arts Factory, with some huge international acts like Converge (USA) and Gang of Four (UK) already booked to play at the corner of Morphett Street and North Terrace this year.

Today Five Four Entertainment added three additional acts to their already impressive list of gigs with raucous duo DZ Deathrays booked in for Saturday, 16 February, ARIA-nominated and SA favourites West Thebarton booked for Friday, 22 February, and Tasmanian punks Luca Brasi and singer-songwriter Eves Karydas on Friday, 15 March.

Ross says he and everyone involved in Lion Arts Factory is “excited to work on a project that will have a real diversity in the genre of artists playing the venue.”
