Picked up an incredible or uncomfortable new skill in lockdown?

If you answered yes to either of those (but hopefully both), apply for the 2021 Adelaide Fringe Artist Fund’s annual grant program and show the routine to a new crowd, rather than your beleaguered housemate or loved one.

Remarks

Apply for $5,000 Adelaide Fringe artist grant by Sunday, 28 June.

The Adelaide Fringe Artist Fund is offering $5,000 to Australian artists, South Australian producers and venue operators, who want to work on new material and be billed for Fringe 2021 to show it off.

Adelaide Fringe director Heather Croall says she’s pleased to offer this yearly cash splash as the arts industry has been left particularly exposed from the COVID-19 fallout, with arts, music and cultural performances rescheduled or outright cancelled.

“We are looking forward to brighter and more vibrant times in 2021, and we can’t wait to be out and about enjoying work from artists once again,” Heather said in a statement.

“Innovative, creative and diverse ideas” are welcome.
