Mismatch’s Indies celebration

Friday, 20 September 2019

  1. 1

You might have heard Mismatch did alright at the 2019 Independent Beer Awards. If not, you can catch yourself up here.

The team from the Nairne brewery were the champion SA brewery for the event, taking home the most medals of any other South Australian entrant, and were also awarded Champion Pale Ale for their simply named Mismatch Pale Ale.

In addition to this, Mismatch also took home one gold medal, four silver medals, and four bronze medals, and so, as you might expect, they’re pretty bloody chuffed with themselves.

To celebrate, Mismatch is teaming up with the home of South Australian booze in the CBD, Kings Head, for an Indies Awards hullabaloo, where they have organised to have aPale Ale karma keg on tap (all proceeds go to Cancer Council via the ShitBox Rally – watch out for Vanny DeVito); a tap takeover, with six Mismatch taps that will include a new unannounced spring limited release brew; a cheese tray raffle, courtesy of Cheese Culture and The Smelly Cheese Shop (proceeds going to ShitBox Rally); Sturt Street Cellars tasting and specials; tunes from Mod vs Ska deejays Mark Yusef Wilson, Geoff Ventress, Mike Fev and Mark Williamson; and, as you might have read in our happy hour round up, you’ll get all your pints for the price of schooners from 5pm ’til 9pm.

Go along for a beer and raise a glass to the continued growth and inevitable domination of the Australian beer industry by our talented South Australian brewers.

Keep an eye on the event page for updates on the Mismatch tap takeover beer list.
