Whisky Tango Vindaloo
CityMag was recently contacted by Hutt Street restaurateur, Ragini Dey, with a pitch for an event not often seen throughout the streets of Adelaide, and we can only agree.
Pairing with McLaren Vale Distillery – the minds behind the much-anticipated Bloodstone whisky – Ragini, of Ragi’s Spicery, will host a seven-course dinner this Thursday, 10 May, with each course matched to McLaren Vale Distillery whiskies.

“As you know,” Ragi explained in an email, “Indians love their whisky, something to do with our British heritage (shades of the Crown), so when we had the opportunity to match our food with John Rochfort’s award winning McLaren Vale Whisky, we decided to Tango.”
The night will be hosted by both John and Ragini, who will explain the pairings and answer any questions diners may have.
