Waterhouse Natural Science Art Prize
Science is inspiring in an infinite number of ways. The Waterhouse Natural Science Art Prize is an opportunity for artists to share how the natural world inspires them.
The Waterhouse encourages artists to make a statement about the scientific issues facing our planet, and has drawn tens of thousands of visitors to the exhibition over the years. It is a valuable platform for artists and unique in its quest to contribute to the environmental debate.
The Waterhouse exhibition is showing at the SA Museum’s Special Exhibition Gallery on the ground floor until September 7. The gallery is open 10am-5pm daily.
Visitors to the exhibition are encouraged to vote in the People’s Choice Award, and the Dr Wendy Wickes Memoriam Award for excellence in science communication. The awards will be announced at the South Australian Museum on Thursday 21 August.
