The title is taken from a work of the same name by Spanish painter and printmaker Francisco Goya of an artist slumped over their desk, asleep, flanked by creatures of the night.
The exhibition will also feature etchings from Goya’s Los Caprichos (The Caprices) and Los Disparates (The Follies) alongside works by Albrecht Dürer, Jacques Callot, William Blake, and engravings based on the drawings of Pieter Bruegel the Elder (see Gluttony above).
