The Eastside Wine & Ale Trail for a day well spent

Year round

  • This article was produced in collaboration with City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters.

It’s probably no surprise that Adelaide – a city bordered by world famous wine regions – is also one of the world’s twelve Great Wine Capitals.

Remarks

However, what is unexpected is the number of cellar doors that have sprung up in the suburbs in recent years. Ditto, spirits distillers and craft brewers.

Thankfully, the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters have produced a handy map to the cellar doors, breweries and distilleries in their patch.

You can spend an afternoon or a day exploring new varietals (Pecorino, we’re looking at you) and fresh frothies.

For the most part, the producers are clustered among the small and creative businesses of Kent Town, Norwood and Stepney, making it eminently walkable between stops.

But heading a little further out brings plenty of rewards, too.
