What's On

Tender Thing

Remarks

Tender Thing is on show from December 10 to February 5, 2016, excluding the Summer closure dates between December 21 and 18 January. You can visit the exhibition at Level 1, Town Hall, King William Street, Adelaide.

The Adelaide City Council’s latest emerging curator Joanna Kitto presents her first exhibition with the organisation tonight when she opens Tender Thing.

Drawing on the Council’s extensive archive, Jo has brought these pieces of history together with established artists like Trent Parke and emerging artists such as Madeline Reece. Working with the theme of memory – “both personal and shared” – the artists have made contemporary works that will be exhibited alongside archival objects like a lock of Colonel Light’s hair and a dress worn by Queen Adelaide.
