It’s the South Australian version of the Oscars – except with less Ryan Gosling and champagne but more local artists finding their feet in the cinema industry.

Since 1999 the Media Resource Centre has run the South Australian Screen Awards (SASAs) as a way to promote the work of our states film-makers. The award categories cover everything – drama, comedy, documentary, animation, music video, non-narrative and digital media, with recognition of those both in front of and behind the camera.

Friday night’s huge gala evening will see the awards presented, and ‘Best of’ screenings will follow on Saturday and Sunday.
