Wine and pizza. Alpha Box & Dice and Pizzateca. Name a better pairing.

Trick question — there’s no better pairing.

But there is something that can take the world’s best pairing to a new level. The addition of exclusive sets by heavily in-demand producer/DJ Luke Million – back in his home state of Adelaide only briefly after touring internationally, and before heading to play Splendour in the Grass.

Luke’s headline sets will be the icing on the cake as longtime friends and McLaren Vale neighbours, Alpha Box & Dice and Pizzateca serve up their first event for 2017 following their two wildly successful 2016 events.

We say ‘event,’ but it’s more of a festival thing.

The whole-day festival of very good food and wine will be hosted across the two venues, offering up two different party experiences.

Over at Pizzateca, festival-goers can eat their hand-made, wood-fired pizza to the soothing sounds of disco, provided by vinyl DJs Driller Jet Armstrong, D-Luxe, and – of course – Luke Million.

Next door at Alpha Box & Dice, the Alphabet of Wine will be on hand with a side of food by Tiger Mountain, accompanied by a platter of South Australia’s top musos, including The Uptown Seeds (including members of Jimmy & The Mirrors and Cosmo Thundercat) and YEWTH DJs.

The detailed itinerary for the day is as follows:

10am – Bus pick up from Crown and Anchor Grenfell St (pre-party details at Crown & Anchor TBA)
11am – Session 1 (AB&D or Pizzateca)
2pm – Board bus to swap venues
2.30pm – Session 2 (AB&D or Pizzateca)
5.30pm – Board bus to return to The Crown & Anchor Hotel, Grenfell St

All SLICE & DICE tickets include:

– Return coach transfer from Adelaide CBD to McLaren Vale, with transfer to the next venue at half-time
– First drink on entry at each venue
