Side Project Sessions is an event series designed to help you out. Whether you’re running an actual side project, or just trying to get on top of life-admin, it’s a way to set aside time and make things happen.

Remarks

Side Project Sessions
10am ’til 1pm Sunday, 8 December
Enough Studio
298-300 Unley Road, Hyde Park 5061

Tickets

The first event launched in Melbourne in 2018 and now meets with creatives, freelancers and busy-people regularly in Sydney, Brisbane, Canberra, Geelong, and even New York. Attendees use the time to work on websites, lesson plans, tax returns, job applications, illustrations, novels, podcasts and assignments. It’s a real mixed bag of productivity.

Adelaide host Meg Madden set up monthly sessions back in August and loves the opportunity to work on her own writing.

“I work part-time in policy, and am in the middle of my PhD, so this is the only time I have without a deadline or expectation,” she says.

The session runs from 10am–1pm with three 45-minute, work-focused blocks, and 15-minute breaks in between to help release tension and fill up on coffee. It’s a kind of non-networking meet up, to get things done without the usual distractions of home or the office.

Alongside cake and coffee from Monday’s, they’ll be serving Alpha Box & Dice prosecco to celebrate the last session of the year this Sunday, 8 December at ENOUGH SPACE in Unley.

Tickets are available here.
