Shorts Film Festival

Remarks

Shorts Film Festival will run from November 20-23 at the City Beach Volleyball Courts – corner Frome Rd and Pirie St – from 5pm every night and 3pm on weekends.

This years Shorts Film Festival is entering a new era. Held outdoors for the first time ever, it will combine a few of every Australian’s favourite things – sun, sand, drinks, food and of course, movies.

Ross Ganf, the Creative Director behind the oh-so popular Barrio and Lola’s Pergola, will once again transform an iconic Adelaide destination into an electrifying and unique new venue. This time, we’ll be seeing Stratco City Beach turn into the Frome Street Surf Lifesaving Club (FSSLC), which can only be described as a playful sandcastle wonderland.

For four nights only, FSSLC visitors can experience the sand between their toes as they sip on a cheeky glass of wine from Alpha Box & Dice, dine on the delectable fish and chips from Golden Gullet, and listen to fresh summer sounds from DJ Dexter (The Avalances) + Adelaide vinyl beach combers. Then once the sun goes down, it’s time for audiences to sit back and relax while enjoying some quality viewing of Australian short films from the festival’s top 30 finalists.

As with every year, Shorts Film Festival will be sure to attract a crowd so make sure you get in early!
