Saltbush Country provides a rare opportunity to experience the works and worldviews of seven dynamic Aboriginal women artists, all working independently across regional South Australia.

The artists are connected through culture and storylines that crisscross regions, yet each language group is unique and different.

Curated by Marika Davies, a proud Wangkangurru curator and artist, the artists are Josephine Lennon, Marli Macumba, Juanella McKenzie, Deanna Newchurch, Lynette Newchurch, Sandra Saunders and Heather Shearer.

Pictured is a traditional possum skin cloak, a revival of a Narungga cultural practice, not seen in over 100 years.
