The premiere of RUPTURE, an immersive performance by The ASO developed specifically for The Lab, promises to be a breathtaking display of human emotion during moments of panic and crisis.

Staged amongst The Lab’s 50sqm of LED screens, RUPTURE takes symptoms of disorder and interprets them as a congruous response to traumas and catastrophe.

Combining multi-channel video and sound, live music and vocal performance, this ground-breaking work reveals human moments beneath the everyday, inviting us to consider panic as both urgency and agency.

Drawing inspiration from trauma-informed psychotherapist Jenna Tuke, RUPTURE features an all-star cast of visual artists, including videographer Jessie Boylan, digital media artist Linda Dement, writer and performer Virginia Barratt, and composer Luke Harrald.

Together, the team has created a world where art and technology converge in a stunning collaboration between the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra and acclaimed visual artists.

Prepare to be awed and inspired by RUPTURE, an immersive classical performance set to be both unforgettable and thought-provoking.
