‘How to write a fan letter’ is an exhibition that expands on Roy Ananda’s long-standing interest in how his life as a pop-culture fanboy informs and overlaps with life as a visual artist.

In this small but eclectic body of work, his love of Dungeons and Dragons, Star Wars and the weird fiction of H.P. Lovecraft is filtered through various trappings and conventions of modern and contemporary visual art practices.

Showing at Hugo Michell Gallery, the exhibition opens tonight alongside Justine Varga’s ‘Memoire’.
