Record Store Day 2018

Record Store Day is once again upon us, so dust off your turntables, peruse the annual list of special releases, and get into your favourite indie record store.

Remarks

Record Store Day 2018 is happening in all good indie record stores this Saturday, 21 April.

Crackle and Pop will be doing their ephemeral thing at the Kings Head this year, spinning nothing but Prince from 8am, and with some limited beer releases to accompany your vinyl purchase.

Clarity Records will be trading their traditional RSD 24 hours, with delicious vegan cupcakes on offer, as well as special giveaways, and t-shirts and totes to celebrate the occasion available, AND, so they boast, the biggest collection of RSD releases in Australia. The fun kicks off at 00:00 on Saturday, 21 April.

Our dear, dear friends at Paradise Loft Records will be doing their thing at the Ed Castle too, offering “a number of new and world record store day releases as well as over 1000 new 12″ and LP stock direct from NYC.” The pub will be putting on $6 tinnies to aid your perusal, and Groundfloor Radio will be broadcasting from the space all day. The fun kicks off at 12pm and will run until 4pm.

There will also be a bunch of good, good finds available at Streetlight and Underground Records, so spread the love!

Happy spinning.
