Playground at JamFactory

  • Artwork: Billie Justice Thomson

Seven multi-disciplinary artists consider themes of innocence, fantasy, and nostalgia whilst referencing the imagination, notions of utopia, the real and unreal in this exhibition that opens tonight at JamFactory.

Remarks

Playground is on show in JamFactory’s Gallery One until July 3. See more details at the website.

Through a collection of works that explore the nature of playfulness, Playground reveals our shared experiences with childhood sentimentality through the lens of visual art and contemporary craft and design using mediums as diverse as illustration, jewellery and sculpture.

Artists include Ebony Bizys (AUS/JPN), Evie Group (NSW), Peta Kruger (SA), Jessie Lumb (SA), Billie Justice Thomson (VIC) and Amy Joy Watson (SA). The exhibition is curated by Rayleen Forester (SA). Playground is supported by Arts South Australia and Adelaide City Council.
