While we’re conscientiously opposed to anything that co-opts the suffix ‘Palooza’, our love for the pinot noir varietal outstrips our opposition by so much that we’re still writing about this event.

This touring wine and food festival gathers together producers from around Australia and New Zealand and then brings them to capital cities near you for your enjoyment.

Last year’s People’s Choice winner – SA winemaker Vinteloper – will be back this year to defend its crown, and given the wines the label makes are high in the delicious category, that’s a sign that bodes well for the whole event.

Held in the ramshackle and characterful Queen’s Theatre, the event also promises live music – so if you happen to look up from your glass, you’ll still be entertained.
