This August, SALA Festival invites you to experience a range of visual arts, events, tours and free exhibitions as part of the annual South Australian Living Artists (SALA) Festival 1 – 31 August.

Now in its 27th year, SALA is Australia’s largest and most inclusive open-access visual arts festival, showcasing South Australian artists in galleries and non-traditional art spaces across the state.

City and regional venues will be buzzing with more than 10,500 artists and over 700 exhibitions and events.

2024 highlights include the always popular Slide Night, Guided Walking Tours, Bus Tours, Open Studios Weekend and Sketchy and It Takes Two interactive drawing events.

Alternatively, you can go your own way by following SALA’s regional maps, taking a road trip to explore exhibitions popping up in galleries, cafes and wineries across the state, or search the program to see what’s happening in your local area.
