Throughout the course of a year, ACE Open will host a number of insightful and boundary-pushing exhibitions, giving a platform to emerging artists in South Australia – such as in its 2020 SA Artist Survey.

ACE is not only a gallery, though, and is also a place where art is made – upstairs, above the exhibition space.

Every year, the artists that inhabit the ACE Open Studios open their doors and invite the public in to see works in progress and chat about their art-making process.

On Saturday, 7 August, head along to ACE between 12—4pm to meet the institution’s current crop of studio artists: Sundari Carmody, Anna Gore, Jonathan Kim, Oakey, and Loren Orsillo.

There will be music programmed and refreshments available throughout the day, and the event will also serve as the public unveiling of Headphones on, phone down, in bed, dark room, eyes closed, a new mural by Sam Songailo located on ACE Open’s studio entrance staircase.
