My Chérie at Adelaide UniBar
My Chérie came to CityMag‘s attention when she performed on the COVID-19-induced livestreaming platform Sunny Side Uploads. If you haven’t heard her, there’s a lot of vibrato, shimmery shirts and loop pedals.

That’s what we’re expecting when the experimental Adelaide musician hits the stage this weekend as part of Adelaide UniBar’s free live music offering, We Used To Be Friends, rolling out every Saturday over the month of August.
She’s on the lineup with solo electro-industrial muso Zach Eichner and three-piece indie-rock outfit The Public Holiday.
We want to repeat this again: there is absolutely no cover charge. There will also be cheap jugs of Pirate Life’s South Coast Pale Ale, and even “cheaper laughs”.
