In this series of artist talks put together by Well Made and the Art Gallery of SA, some of the state’s best makers talk about their process and practice.

Stephanie James-Mantann works in ceramics, making sculptural porcelain works that share characteristics with woven works even though they have been formed on a pottery wheel. Influenced by indigenous basket weaving, Stephanie’s work is also informed by the inherent organic qualities of her chosen medium.
