Calling all long-time lovers, sometimes sippers and those yet to fall for fortifieds. Neat Sips is a sweet new fortified festival on a mission to prove fortifieds are back in a big way!

From uncasking rare drops long hidden in private cellars to mixing up flavourful new cocktails, it’s coming to McLaren Vale this weekend to shake up your sipping, revive a South Aussie icon and floor you with all things fortified.

Expect a broad range of fortified tastings from South Australian producers, including Seppeltsfield, Yangarra Estate, McLaren Vale Distillery and Pfeiffer Wines (Rutherglen, VIC). There’ll also be plenty of food offerings, educational masterclasses, daily Q&As and live music.

General admission tickets include a take-home Riedel glass and up to 10 producer tastings (equivalent to approximately two standard drinks). And if fortifieds aren’t your thing, don’t worry. The bar will be fully stocked with cocktails, still wines, beer and non-alcoholic options. You can even enjoy a coffee or hot choccy by open fire pits.
