Every October for Mental Health Month the Mental Health Coalition of SA hosts the funniest fundraiser of the year.

Laughter is the Best of Meds began in 2017 as a small stand up gig and has now grown so much it is held at The Arkaba Hotel. The bigger the room, the bigger the laughs.

This year they have expanded the line up to include one of Australia’s hottest stand-up comedians Tom Ballard.

Tom’s comedy is bold and fearless. In 2017 he had his own stand up show streaming on Stan, then in 2022 for Paramount +.

This year he’s the lovable Sven in the Amazon original series Deadloch written by the great comedy minds of Kate McLennan and Kate McCartney. As a stand up comedian he’s a regular performer at Edinburgh, Montreal and the Adelaide Fringe Festival.

Alongside Tom is a mix of our finest stand-up comedians, hosted by Adelaide’s premier drag queen Wundes. There is Marc Ryan (Beautiful Bogan), Rudy Lee, Lori Bell (who will be bringing along Granny Flaps), Leela Varghese and Vida Slayman.

This night of top notch comedy is at a great price of just $35 full and $30 concession. Great value for a great night out.
