Do you attend live gigs, stream music or love to shop for records, CDs, or cassettes? MusicSA is putting together a Music Industry Economic Impact Report - and they want to hear from you.
Have your say about the impact of SA’s music industry
Being in a crowd at a live music venue, drink in hand and your favourite band taking the stage is one of life’s great joys.
SA Music Industry Economic Impact Report
Survey closes May 8.
Complete the survey via BDO’s website.
MusicSA needs you to share your stories with them so they can turn that joy into data and advocate for the music industry in South Australia.
In partnership with the Music Development Office, the City of Adelaide and Festival City ADL, MusicSA have commissioned BDO EconSearch to ask music fans about the music industry’s economic contribution.
Unfortunately, those great gig experiences are dwindling as Adelaide’s live venues close due to economic pressures, with CityMag reporting six venues closing in just two months at the end of 2023.
The Crown & Anchor hotel is another venue currently under threat by development, which InDaily found has prompted complaints about undervaluing venues and their cultural impact.
So, if you value being able to attend live music gigs, stream or buy music digitally, or love to shop records, CDs, or cassettes, let MusicSA know by taking part in their survey.
Your answers about how you consume music will go towards the BDO report and help MusicSA meaningfully advocate for the South Australian music industry and identify future opportunities to keep you entertained at gigs for years to come.
Complete the survey before May 8, 2024.
