It’s been a real long year, so a laugh and a glass of wine will do you good.

To that end, Grapes of Mirth is happening this weekend, with seven comedians set to perform at Lloyd Brothers Wine in McLaren Vale.

The yucks will be accompanied by a selection of yums, including wine from the host winery, beer from Goodieson Brewery, and eats from such fine mobile vendors as  Staazi & Co and CARŌclub.

The comedians scheduled for the event are Nazeem Hussein, Geraldine Hickey, Tom Ballard, Lizzy Hoo, Dave Hughes, Merrick Watts and DJ Pedro Moshman.

The fun begins at midday on Sunday, 13 December. Tickets are about $80, and you can tack on a bus ride to and from the event as well for an extra $32.64.

For the gourmet treatment, add a hamper of the best in McLaren Vale produce for an extra $40.
