Passionate, intense, fiery, expressive, dramatic. No, it’s not your housemate, it’s flamenco… and it’s so, so, so good.

Led by ARIA-nominated flamenco guitarist Damian Wright, Bandaluzia is heading to Nexus for two outings of their spectacular new show.

The contemporary flamenco favourites are celebrated for their powerful performances, unique sound and explosive displays of musical mastery and have appeared at WOMADelaide and the Adelaide International Guitar Festival.

Bringing the fiery spirit are flamenco dancers Rosalie Cocchiaro, who’s performed in many of Madrid’s best tablaos (aka flamenco venues), and the multi-award-winning Jessica Statham.

Bandaluzia also features percussionist James Hauptmann, who’s worked with James Morrison and Vince Jones, and violinist Yuhki Mayne, who’s performed with Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, Victorian Opera and Opera Australia Orchestra.
