Prospect delicatessen extraordinaire Bottega Bandito is doing a collab with Gelato Messina to celebrate the latter’s arrival in Adelaide. (Actually, it’s more of a homecoming since Gelato Messina’s founder Nick Palumbo is originally from here.)
Drawing inspiration from time-honoured techniques and the finest ingredients – including milk and honey from Messina’s own farm – they’re serving up two versions of a Hot Cross Bun Gelato Sando.
Gianduia x Triple Choc sees a better-than-Nutella hazelnut and chocolate gelato served up in a chocolate dough bun studded with milk, white and dark chocolate chunks.
While Pistachio Praline x Italian Fruit and Nut Bianco offers a very moreish fior di latte gelato, dotted with white chocolate, pistachio fudge and pistachio praline, and nestled in a super soft cranberry, sultana and pistachio bun.
Happily, the collab is happening all long weekend, giving you plenty of time to bliss out on both.
Bottega Bandito is open Easter Friday to Monday, 7.30am – 3.30pm.
