First Fridays at Art Gallery of SA
Every year it becomes increasingly apparent that the outside world is best ignored for the first half of April Fools’ Day, as the pranks from those jovial Old Media chaps and tech companies become more elaborate and wholly expected.
The next First Fridays event – Fool’s Paradise – takes place April 1 from 5pm-9pm at the Art Gallery of South Australia on North Terrace, Adelaide.
What’s that Google? You’ve moved your cloud computing service to an actual cloud? Very fun.
Rather than subject yourself to this years’ antics, we suggest you sleep in past the midday prank cutoff, spend a few hours getting important errands done, then head down to the Art Gallery for their First Fridays event Fool’s Paradise.
Running from 5pm until 9pm, make the most of their after hours availability with guided tours of the Magic Object exhibit, performances by Electric Fields, Rob Wallace, Tom Moore, and snippets of Much Ado About Nothing by The Little Fish Theatre Ensemble.
Entry is free, and there’s a barbecue and bar to keep you sated until all evidence of April Fools’ Day ever occurring have been filtered out of your social media feed.
