This year is a unique one for fashion graduates in the state.

Remarks

The first graduate parade will take place on Friday December 2.

The second and third parade will take place on Saturday December 3.

While some of them will graduate from TAFE SA with an Advanced Diploma of Fashion Design as normal, some will graduate from the brand new Flinders and TAFE SA partnership degree.

Previously, the highest fashion-related course offered in this state was the Advanced Diploma from TAFE SA, however, TAFE SA and Flinders University now offer the Bachelor of Creative Arts (Fashion).

The 29 students who last year transferred over from the Advanced Diploma to the Bachelor of Creative Arts (Fashion) will now be the first class to graduate with the new degree.

As part of finishing their Bachelor’s, the students will take part in three parades over a two-day graduate event, taking place at the Tonsley campus between the Flinders and TAFE SA buildings.

The first 29 graduates from the Flinders / TAFE SA Bachelor of Creative Arts (Fashion) will showcase their collections at the Friday parade titled ONE.

The 10 TAFE SA Advanced Diploma of Fashion Design and Technology student collections will be shown in an afternoon parade through the Tonsley rainforest titled Revolve.

Later, the TAFE SA Advanced Diploma of Fashion Design and Technology graduates will showcase their final designs at the second Saturday parade titled Elysian.
