Adelaide artist Amy Joy Watson’s trademark, multi-faceted stitch-and-paint style has graced everything from magazine covers to public art installations and the collections of global contemporary art icons, including Saatchi Gallery director Nigel Hurst.

Fresh from exhibiting at Ballarat’s Biennale of Australian Art, Watson will share the tips and tricks of her work in an upcoming workshop at ACE Open, designed for all levels of experience.

Her recent crushed tinnie collaborations with partner Andy Nowell will serve as inspiration for the class, where you will be guided to create and construct your own still life masterpiece using found materials, and Watson’s signature embroidery and watercolour techniques.
