The pub will raise cash by pouring out big ones (and little- and medium-sized ones) of RESIST – a 7.4 per cent Ukrainian ‘anti-imperial’ stout, which has hints of roasted beetroot.
The recipe was developed by displaced Ukrainian brewers affected by the Russian invasion, with breweries around the world making the anti-imperial stout in an act of guerrilla anti-warfare.
The Wheaty will donate all proceeds from the RESIST batch to Doctors Without Borders.
Langhorne Creek bread experts Small World Bakery will also be slinging their best breaded stuff, with LOBO Cider experts selling a specially made apple and pear cider.
Food trucks El Diablo and Taco Cat will be out front, with an auction also on the cards.
Multi-disciplinary artist Hana Brenecki will be selling RESIST prints on the day, and will also be performing a live music set with her trio at 3:30pm from the front bar.
