Be Consumed: Creative Collaborations from the Barossa

Two new exhibitions will open in the JamFactory’s galleries this month, with both highlighting the art of food and drink.

Both the Be Consumed: Creative Collaborations from the Barossa and drink dine design exhibitions are showing from September 26 – November 29 at the JamFactory.

Be Consumed: Creative Collaborations from the Barossa will come to Gallery One from September 26 – November 29. After showing at Seppeltsfield as part of a collaboration between the winery and the JamFactory, this exhibition makes its way to the city. Focussing on collaborations between artists and designers, and leading food and wine producers from the Barossa region, the exhibitions explores the ties between food, wine, art and design. Works include ceramics, jewellery, glass and furniture all of which highlight the skill of both the producers and the artist.

At the same time, JamFactory’s Gallery Two will host the drink dine design: Emerging Designer Award 2014. This award exhibition brings together innovative and fresh design ideas that enhance food and wine experiences. Emerging designers from anywhere in the world who have completed or are completing design training in South Australia contribute furniture, textiles, fashion, tableware, glassware and anything that will enrich a food and wine dining experiences.
