Remarks

Tarnanthi Art Fair 2023
Adelaide Entertainment Centre
20–22 October 2023
Friday 5–8.30pm and Saturday & Sunday 10am–5pm
Entry is free

Now in its eighth year, Tarnanthi Art Fair returns both in-person and online to celebrate the diversity and richness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art.

The popular event brings together more than 50 art centres from across Australia to showcase works in diverse mediums, produced by hundreds of established and emerging, regional and city-based First Nations artists.

Works for sale include paintings, ceramics, sculpture, woven objects, jewellery, textiles, clothes and homewares, with prices ranging from under $50 to $15,000.

Importantly, the Art Fair delivers significant economic benefits to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, where art production is a vital source of income. All works are made and sold ethically, and all sale proceeds go directly to the artists and their community-run art centres.

Seeing it in-person means you have the unique opportunity to meet the artists and learn about their world and ideas. If you can’t make it, browse and buy online anytime between 5pm Friday and 5pm Sunday.

Or better still, shop at both, as the art is unique to each.
