circles to us
11 June – 24 July
Lion Arts Centre, Corner North Terrace & Morphett Street, Adelaide 5000
The exhibition is also available to view online via Nexus Arts Gallery.

Through photography, paintings and mixed media work, all sourced from the Flinders University Museum of Art, the exhibition interrogates concepts that surround stolen children, Aboriginality, and poverty, with an intersection of gender duties.

Dominic’s curator statement says the space is for Aboriginal people to explore how to preserve old stories and embrace new ideas but all are welcome.

“To Aboriginal people… I hope collectively the work will challenge us to think about the way gender is present in our lives and cultures,” he says.

“How we are informed by the past, women’s and men’s business, how we are reclaiming and / or carving out space for non-binary and trans Aboriginal people.”
