Brainström Exhibition and Zine Expo

Bringing together a collection of idiosyncratic artists and zine-makers, Brainström and TwentyFiftyTwo present BRAINSTRÖM: Exhibition and Zine Expo.

  • Words: Krisha Barton

After touring through the likes Tokyo, Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, Brainström are making a stop off in Adelaide to show us their wares.

Held in the basement store on Hindley Street, TwentyFiftyTwo, the expo will be a flurry of international and local artists, self-publishers and zines.

Among the bevy of international and local artists slated are Chrissie Abbott, Stefan Marx, Marcus Oakley, Ashley Lande, Daniel Cantrell, Ragnar Persson, Derek Albeck, and Rich Gilligan.

As well as international and local zines by Brainström, Street Canue, Skate Witches, Jake Holmes, Tim Gaze, Daria Healy-Koljanin, Aida Azin, Casey Foley, No Patience, Notshit, Lovenskate, Dan Singer, Chrissie Abbott, Max Olijink and many more.

With so much talent under one roof, it’s a perfect opportunity for lovers of visual artists and zines alike to see what the exhibiting artists have been working on and what the zine culture is currently offering.

Beer will be supplied by Young Henry’s, and food prepared by the fellow Hindley Street locals Parsec Café; head down to Twenty-Fifty Two to check the unmissable two day experience.
