Move over Hollywood: Scandinavian cinema has arrived in Adelaide.

This winter, the best new films that the Nordic region has to offer will be showcased at the 2024 Saxo Scandinavian Film Festival, held at Palace Nova Cinemas in the Eastend.

Entering its tenth year, the festival boasts a stellar line-up of films from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden that are sure to satisfy the cravings of any cinephile, Scandinavian or otherwise.

Historical and romantic dramas, science fiction epics, black comedies and satires, coming-of-age and feel-good tales, political and psychological and suspense thrillers, films based on popular books, retrospectives – you’ll find them all and more at Saxo.

So ‘Go North’, figuratively, and head on down to the Eastend, literally, between 17 July and 7 August to take part in the festival and experience Scandinavian cinema at its finest.
