Bars Fighting Fires

Thursday, 16 January 2020

The South Australian bushfires are unrelenting, but so too (thankfully) is the response from the South Australian community, with enough bushfire benefits to keep you and your most generous mates occupied from now through February (probably).

A cohort of Adelaide bars have banded together, with the city-wide Bars for Bushfires event happening this Thursday, 16 January, with each participating venue either running karma kegs, or donating a portion of proceeds from a nominated product throughout the night, with all the collected monies being donated “to the CFS, RFS and CFA as well as other organisations that need our help,” text from the Facebook event states.

See the list of participating venues below, and head along and drink up for a cause.

At Rundle Street bar BRKLYN, $2 from every Australian gin sold will be donated, plus there’ll be more donated from Never Never Distilling, who’ve “come on board to donate in a big way,” BRKLYN’s co-owner and Bars Fighting Fires’ organiser Rashaad says.

“It’s been awesome to see so many people across different industries getting involved.”
