Ausecuma Beats, the nine-piece afrobeat ensemble, was one of the most fun sets at WOMAD last year, and Music in Exile is bringing them back to Adelaide for one night at Oddio.

Led by djembe player Boubacar Gaye and featuring members from Australia (AU), Senegal (SE), Cuba (CU), Mali (MA) and Gambia (which doesn’t factor into the band’s portmanteau name but is still worth nothing), wherever Ausecuma Beats goes, there will be fervent dancing.

Special guests for the gig include live performances from Cazeaux O.S.L.O and Ruru.432, plus DJ sets from Nantale, Oisima and Rela.

There’ll be food from Parwana, plus drinks available from Oddio’s home team of Delinquente, Frederick Stevenson and Giovanni Armani Giorgio.

The event will kick off at 5pm, and tickets are available now via Eventbrite.
