Art Changes Places
The most obvious way the landscape of a city is shaped is by the buildings that line its streets, but how much does art influence an experience of place?
Art Changes Places will be held from 8:00 – 9:30 am on Thursday, October 23 at Second Floor Atrium, Adelaide College of the Arts on Light Square.
This will be the topic of discussion for ‘Art Changes Places’, a forum put together by Guildhouse and hosted by the University of South Australia’s Director of Interior Architecture, Andrew Wallace, and featuring speakers Ashley Halliday (Ashley Halliday Architects), Lisa Slade (Art Gallery of South Australia), and James Hayter (Oxigen Landscape Architects and Urban Designers).
Their aim will be to highlight the importance of collaboration between architects, urban planners and artists during this period redevelopment in Adelaide, and explore the ways that art can change places for the better.
