With its full lineup now locked in following the announcement of local jazz icon Penny Eames joining the event, the Adelaide Jazz Festival is set to captivate audiences at venues across the city this month.

Among the venues hosting shows are The Jade, The Grace Emily, Arthur Art Bar, Dunstan Playhouse and Queens Theatre, which will each host a range of jazz performances from new and established acts.

Running from 28—30 April, the event will culminate on International Jazz Day with Lucky Seven lighting up Queens Theatre and the dual event of Er@ser Description and The New Standard happening at Dunstan Playhouse.

The New Standard is presented by Women in Jazz Adelaide and is inspired by drummer, composer and producer Terri Lynn Carrington’s New Standards project, which celebrates the work of women in jazz over the last century.
