Alpha Box and (S)wine dinner


Alpha Box and (S)wine takes place August 17 from 6.30pm. Tickets are being sold through the NOLA website.

When two really good looking and smart and fun people start dating, it’s great but also kind of depressing for the rest of us. The nice thing about the coming together of Alpha Box & Dice and NOLA Adelaide is that while it has the feel of a better-than-the-rest of us partnership, it’s actually very inclusive.

When the winery and restaurant collaborate on August 17 they’re inviting us all to come along and take part in Alpha Box & (S)wine, in which NOLA Head Chef Adam Hudson will prepare a six-course degustation of an entire pig (top-to-tail style) with wines for each course matched by Alpha Box & Dice.

The menu will see Hudson showcase his abilities outside of NOLA’s usual New Orleans style cuisine. Instead, it’s about honoring fellow local chef Phil Whitmarsh, who was Hudson’s mentor and taught him how to make the most of an animal – from top to tail.

Alpha Box & (S)wine will be the first of four degustations planned by NOLA to round out the year. The dinner is limited to only 30 places on NOLA’s Mezzanine, so best get in quick.
