Shout out for our favourite Showbags

Bertie Beetle

Bertie Beetle showbags are timeless. The cheerful Beetle boasts over 60 years of bringing showbag joy, and for good reason. Some of us begged our parents to buy a Bertie Beetle showbag; they were — and still are — the ultimate chocolate showbag. There is a wide range of Bertie Beetle show bags, with the blue standard bag costing only $5. For the chocolate lovers out there, Bertie Beetle showbags are a steal. The Bertie Beetle Bonanza showbag is a classic, featuring an egg cup set, ceramic mug set, helicopter hat and bouncy soccer ball.

If you’re partial to a bucket hat, the Bertie Beetle Retro is the one for you.

CommBank Matildas

Did you hop on the hype for the Matildas during the 2023 Women’s World Cup? If so, you’ll surely remember last-minute Tillies merch was nearly impossible to secure before a match. Off the back of a disappointing Olympics performance, the team are surely gearing up for an exciting comeback (we hope) so be prepared with a Tillies bag, drink bottle, keyring, wrist band, scarf, and a soccer ball of course.

The Simpsons

You are never too old or young to purchase a Simpsons showbag. Simpsons-themed merchandise is too iconic, and the items get passed down as collectables. Whether you want rock a Homer Simpson shirt or boast a Duff Beer bag, Simpsons showbags are suited for any age.

Polly Waffle

Now we must admit, some of our Gen Z reporters had not heard of the Polly Waffle until its comeback to supermarket shelves earlier this year. So whether they’re nostalgic or a new sweet treat for you, look no further than the Polly Waffle showbag. After going through a rough patch in 2009 due to poor sales, the Menz chocolates have made their way back onto shelves and now, the Showbag Hall.

The OG Polly Waffle showbag was in the Showbag Hall over 30 years ago.

Rick and Morty

The eccentric animation first landed on screens in 2013, with its merchandise presence hard to escape since. The classic neon green and black colours are one of the first things fans of the show may notice when they enter the Showbag Hall. A standard Rick and Morty showbag includes a hat, pair of socks, backpack, cooler bag, drink cooler and bottle opener, the essentials for older and younger fans.

War Heads

Who could forget the sourness of War Heads spray? War Heads showbags dominated the hall at one stage, leaving lovers of sour sweets to an endless world of consumable goodness. War Head showbags still offer cheap prices, with the jumbo showbag costing $12. Whether you want to feel nostalgic or still enjoy the sour taste, War Head showbags always pull through with a pleasurable experience.
