How’d your favourite SA distilleries do at the World Gin Awards?

Six South Australian distilleries have brought home 11 gongs from the 2020 World Gin Awards, recently held in London.

The World Gin Awards happened in London once again, on Thursday, 27 February, and as always, men, women and children of the local spirits industry were watching the awards keenly.

South Australia’s gin boom, by now, needs no introduction – you’ve seen the explosion of local distilleries (we hope) in CityMag’s own coverage, on the city’s back bars, and in bottle shops.

Just this week, one of our own, Sacha La Forgia, was recognised as the best distiller in the global industry in Gin Magazines Icons of Gin Awards.

We’ve got a lot to be proud of, including the following six distilleries, who collectively took home 11 awards.

If you’ve not tried the lot, see if you can track them down in your favourite bar, or stop by their distillery doors.
